| Meibo-Mask Hot or Cold Compress |
| Meibo Masks are often used in pairs, one as a hot compress and one as a cold compress. These self sterilising masks are far preferred to those made of seed and cloth. Heated in boiling water, they stay warm for up to three minutes and have a life of about a year. One mask is for use to melt the waxy deposits which block the meibomian glands, prior to a lid cleaning regime with Sterilid or similar, another is kept in the freezer to be used as a cold compress after cleaning the lids to cool the eyes back down again. The cold Meibo Mask is very useful for those suffering from ocular allergy or hay fever. |
